The Nigerian esports Federation is to launch its first esports Awards in November 2023, an annual event that is designed to recognize the achievements of the gaming and esports creators with the aim to encourage the development and promotion of the esports community in Nigeria. The board of the Nigerian esports Federation is made of great sports administrators, publishers, Contain developers, and Gamers. Nesfed has three main arms namely Federal, zonal, and states, the Federal takes responsibility for international activities for the overall interest of the country’s esports ecosystem, The zonal body is responsible for the supervision of states within the zone and reports to the Federal, while the state coordinator champions the grass root development and promotion at the state level. Each state of the federation is expected to have a coordinator of esports that works closely with the state government
Mr. Agbor Clinton A is a veteran sports administrator, and journalist/commentator for many FIFA, Olympic, and CAF events just to mention a few. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Esports Association of Nigeria and the pioneer president of the Confederation of African Footgolf. Mr. Clinton Agbor an investigative journalist has not stopped writing for he is currently the African rep in a multinational sporting body called sportfanzone.org
His passion for esports can be traced years back in 2015 as a member of the Federal Government Delegation to the Africa Union conference on sports, culture, and youth development in Addis Ababa Ethiopia where he was introduced to esports at the high level.
Since then he has combined his skills and huge experience in the development and promotion of esports not only in Nigeria but also in Africa he is a board member representing Nigeria in the Confederation of African esports. His passion for video gaming has also earned him a vital role in the rebirth of the continent esports body coming up in Morrocco
The Esports Academy is an initiative of the Professional esports Association of Nigeria dedicated to engaging, educating, and enabling youths across the country to achieve excellence in esports. The professional esports Association of Nigeria which is part of the Nigerian esports Federation shall seek to build an elemental pathway and provide great opportunities for youths to become esports athletes, coaching managers professional commentators, and future leaders
